We are pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Felber as the new director of Camp Wise, our resident camp in Chardon, Ohio.  Since February of this year, Rachel has been the Interim Director of Camp Wise and prior to that served as its Assistant Director for four summers.

After conducting an extensive national search earlier this year and having the opportunity to see Rachel in action this summer as the interim director, it became apparent that the best candidate was truly in our own backyard.  Rachel’s passion for Jewish overnight camping along with her experience, dedication and enthusiasm for The J and Camp Wise made her the obvious choice.

Prior to joining Camp Wise in 2012, Rachel spent five years as the Youth and Teen Assistant Director of Camp Shalom at the JCC of Austin. She also served as the Austin BBYO Director.  Rachel has an undergraduate degree from Clark University and a Master of Science in Social Administration from CWRU’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Rachel was a participant in the prestigious JCCA Merrin Teen Professional Fellowship.
