Come join and combine two fun and interactive activities: painting and cooking! Channel your inner Betty Crocker and Picasso and join me in “painting” a cookie cake to enjoy with friends and family! 

Items Needed for cookies: 1 cup and 3tbsp all purpose flour; 1/2 tsp baking powder; 1/2 cup softened butter; 3/4 cup white sugar; 1 egg; 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 

 Items Needed for Icing: 1 cup powdered sugar; 3-4 tsp milk; 2 tsp corn syrup; 1/4 tsp vanilla extract; food coloring; optional: sprinkles;

 Other Items Needed: 

Oven set to 375*; 1-2 large baking sheet; foil/parchment/baking spray; two large bowls; one – 4 small bowls (depending on how many icing colors you want); hand mixer/stand mixer; optional: small food brush/unused paint brush; pieces of paper (construction or notebook); assortment of markers/crayons/colored pencils/pens. Have fun making your art masterpieces and then enjoy eating them!
